There has been a good bit of interesting traffic at the Institute lately. For the longest time I have been curious as to why such a large collection of building seemed to be so rarely used. Of course, the lights seem to always be on in the main building, especially around the president’s office. Now, there are a few more cars in the lot, more lights in the early morning or evenings. There appear to be two more buildings that have awakened. I had my suspicions and my contacts and readers have provided the information to confirm those suspicions.
People in business suits have been seen going onto the Gamealogical campus. Reports are that they go in seeming rather stern and full of concern. However, witnesses then describe them as leaving the campus with a lighter step and casting their gaze forward, as if heading for some anticipated destination. Sounds the Institute has opened a Business department. Not sure on the composition of the faculty or the course offerings.
School buses? I thought the Institute was a post secondary and research facility. I’ve seen Skittles wrappers and those small orange plastic straws for juice pouches to confirm there have been school children on campus. Based on reports of overheard conversations, these children are somehow involved in game making or game design. They are very enthusiastic about whatever they are doing. I can only surmise that the Gamealogical Institute has also opened a Department of Education.
It is, of course, good to see the old campus gaining some new life. They are also opening up a little more to the public. In fact, I just received a letter from Dodger Collingwood inviting me to join him for lunch soon; and of course I will report on that too.
